Buying a CPO M3--need some advice

So here's the deal. I'm buying a lightly used CPO'd 2013 M3. Went to the $tealership today to close the deal, and upon inspecting the car closely, I noticed some things that give me pause. There are lots of tiny chips in the hood and the windshield, as if the car had been driving behind a salt truck for an hour. It's so bad that even with a buffing machine and some wax and elbow grease, the sales manager offered to repaint the hood (full paint, not just clearcoat) and replace the windshield with a new OEM part.

What should I do? Would you still buy the car knowing this, or should I move on? Not many 2013s around, and this car is just the way I want it (Interlagos Blue and Carbon, DCT, and lots of other goodies). The manager said there will be no record of either repair in the Carfax.

No pitting on the headlights?

Go for it with the fixes but have them add a clear bra as the pitting will not stop even when driving with care here in our region. Somehow with BMW cars I see them often with the windshield and front of the hood pitting issues as well as on the headlights.

Have them swap the hoods if one available, otherwise move on. I personally would not want to do with any repaint for such vehicles. Ultimately its your decision.

Unless the deal is crazy good, I'd pass and keep looking.

Have em warranty the paint in writing then if you like it then you decide.

In my experience(could be wrong) when you go to sell the car and if buyer wants ppi, the painted area is covered with clear bra they are somehow unable to tell if its repainted, when using their machine. Or if you get a brand new primed hood panel and have it painted, they can't tell if its repainted as its all evenly painted.
I say have them paint the hood and clear bra entire hood.

As said professional repaint with warranty & clear coat if it is a good deal.

& GO RANGERS!

EDIT Mr. Leetch & Eddie Giacomin are my all time favorite players.

I bought it. I trust the dealer to do right by me, and the deal was better than I expected going in. Pics to follow once I pick it up, hopefully later this week. Though I might not stop to take pictures. Been waiting a few decades for an M3, and once I get in it, well..... Can't wait!!

Leetch is, was, and always will be, The Man!!

Bad advice.

Cars are painted at once- with all panels attached. SO a hood from one car will NOT match a hood from another. these arent legos!

Good quality paint is just good maintenance. People are nutty with "original paint" and "never painted"...I see older porsches and 3/5 series BMWs with horrific road rash, yet owners proudly proclaim "all original".... christ, these arent museum pieces!
