Pic posting is hit&miss...

Sometimes I can toss pics in the Gallery, other times I get this:

Invalid file extension. Allowed extensions for this category are jpg, gif, jpeg, bmp.

I do Nothing differently, they are sized correctly, it's a jpeg, blah blah blah.

I can always put in thumbnail, but the bigger looking stuff that I try to put up in the gallery only "takes" about 1 or 10.

I must be missing the boat somewhere, or else there is a glitch.
It drives me crazy, as the ol' song went.
Any ideas, anyone?

When you name the file, name it "file.jpg", in other words, whatever you want to name it, followed by .jpg. Sometimes if I don't put the ".jpg" in there the same thing happens to me.

Maybe that's just my 'puter. We use Windows NT at work.

JV: That doesn't do it, either. I just put up two new pics in the Gallery, out of the dozen I attempted. I've tried every lil'nuance I know. Something is goofy or my sys sucks or my method or...but, why it works one min and not the next is beyond me. It is frustrating.

I've tried all the variations I can think of...some pics go up into the gallery, fine...others, very sim in size,etc. produce that weird page:

It's a fooking mystery to me.

Welcome to my world md! I have attempted to put pics in the same exact size, and one goes, the other one doesnt. "File too large". Im not sure what gives either...

MD, this doesn't have anything to do with those long file names with special characters does it? What was the actual file name from your error above? Did it have all those periods in it? "Septmornfog...postrainTest.jpg" That would give you an invalid extention error for sure. Good luck!!

NCX, Thanks but Dunno...I'm tired this eve and confused,lol! But, won $40 bucks in our weekly Pokah game with the Geezers.

When I get a chance in the next few, I'll PM you and try to glean some help.
I think I've worn out SuperGreg on my pic posting questions and continual retraining, lol!
