:mad::tantrum: My factory business cd head unit just died on me:mad::thumbdown WTF! And on top of that my Gauges lights dont work....well some do, when i turn on my blinkers or fog lights it doesnt show on the cluster, but it still works. I hope i have just a blown fuse:mad: Has this ever happend to anyone. I do have an Icelink, when i turn the car off and on the radio comes on but the screen is blank and i have no control of the radio AT ALL:mad: Please help:(

Ah, it's most definately the icelink. Has it been cold in your area recently? I had this happen a couple of times in the course of three weeks. The control module kept failing, and all the displays would go dead, the radio, the MID on the instrument cluster, the turn signal indicators, everything. I discovered this happened when I left my iPod plugged in over night when the temperature dipped below about 40. Just get it replaced (under warranty hopefully) and then get in the habit of taking out the iPod each night, or if it'll be sitting in your car for more than a couple of hours until it gets warmer. Hmmmm, glad you posted that:D it's been rainy but not soo cold, but i will look into that. So is it the Icelink that i have to replace? If soooooo TomG can you help me out with this one?:dunno: :thumbup: Thanks,

try hard restarting your iPod first. You do this by holding down the menu and play buttons at the same time. This will most likely do nothing - but it's worth a try. You will most likely need to replace the icelink, specifically the control module that is between the connection to the cd changer or radio and the input from the iPod. It's the black thing with a white BMW label on it.

Try disconnecting the ice>Link before anything to see if everything is back in order. A failed module will show the behavior you are describing.

Where was the ice>Link Plus kit purchased from?

Tom G. the icelink was purchased at best buy and i did the install. I bought it back in either late august or early sept

Hey, try disconnecting it, everything should go back to normal. If this is the case, take the icelink into Best Buy, with your reciept, and tell them it needs to be replaced as the control module went bad. They did this for me, even without a reciept, but one would make it easier. Good luck again!

Alright I disconnected it and now everythings back to normal:) Thanks soo much for your help with this guys:thumbup: Now all i have to do is take it back to BestBuy and see if They'll exchange it for me:dunno:
