My amp is shorted out, I've got no sound.

Anyone have suggestions? :dunno:

Are used amps available as replacement?

If I could find a used replacement, is it possible to code it to my specific X5?

Head unit was replaced a few years ago under warranty but XM /Sirius module broke and wasn't covered. Speakers are stock, navigation works fine.

$2k for a new one doesn't make sense.

I found an amp on craigslist early this year ($100.00). I also saw them listed on ebay

I do not have navigation so that may make a difference

I did not have to recode.

I did a national search of craigslist and came up empty with a search of your
part number

however I did find at least two on ebay for under $300.
