is there any way to tell which model radio i have this is because i am interested in the AUX input and supposedly the 2002 and lower dont have that capability

There is information on the side of the radio module itself. If you look at the label it will tell you the build date for the unit. If the build date is prior to 10/02 then it doesn't support AUX or Siruis. If it's from around 10/02 to 10/03 then it will support Aux but not Sirius. If it's newer than 10/03 then it will support both Aux and Sirius.

If you have a 2002 and the radio module is the original one from the factory then you don't have Aux nor Sirius capability.

i have what appears to be an 04/05 radio moudule and i still
can not get it to detect Sirius. any ideas?
