Anyone have luck getting Carx to work properly

I finally decided to get a new cheap laptop on Ebay to put back in my car as a CarPC. It just came in the mail yesterday and I spent considerable time loading in Win 2K. What a drag that is to get everything configured on a new computer.

Anyway, I loaded up Carx, although was again struggling with the i-bus messages in the system. Everything I run the program I loose my aux input. Plus since I have the new style BM53 radio with Sirius, and they have the OLD style CD emulation I can not get the audio to work without going into the tape inputs.

I have a perfectly good aux input and a perfectly good CD audio input and Carx does not work with either one.

I can get other AutoPC programs with updated ibus strings to work, just not Carx.

Anyone have experience with this stuff? I am running Sirius, so it makes mine a little tricky. My CD input REQUIRES CD emulation from a 2003 or newer CD changer.

Just out of curiosity, did you make your own i-bus interface? I have been thinking about this for some time now and may just end up buying one of these to have full collision detection etc.

What are the easiest locations to find the I-Bus signal? I know the cd changer in the center console but are there others easily available?

I have the one you mention below. I actually have two the older and the newer version. Not sure of the difference. CD changer is how I did it although thru the Sirius receiver
