Icelink problems

Any Advice??? I just had a Denison dealer install Icelink in my 2002 X5 NAV with DSP. I drove home with everything working fine. Stopped for lunch, and started the car up. NAV screen dead and turn signals dead. I unplugged the Icelink cable and NAV screen and turn signals work. I called denison and they said it was a bad unit. Anyone ever run into this?
Also is it true that if i have a 3 pin connector and a six pin connector that i still have DSP. It works without the DSP module that Denison offers. Thanks, just trying to confirm and see if maybe the problem is something else. The above problem is repeatable whenever I connect and disconnect the cable

I had the same problem that you mentioned and it was a bad unit. Once I replaced the unit the problem was gone.
Can't help with the DSP question - sorry.

Around 2002/2003 the X5 DSP systems did not require a cable or an adapter. I would have thought yours was too old, but oh well.

It's not the pin count, it's the wires in the connectors that tells you about that.

Not true, I've seen MY2005 X5s with the coaxial DSP input. It's always best to check beforehand.

Dension is correct, it seems your module has failed, it would be best to contact them for a replacement.
