TCU removal questions?
 

Have an '05 X5 with everything....want to ditch my old system in favor for my new stuff. Has anyone had issues with removing the TCU from the vehicle? I dont care for BMW assist.

Hmm don't mean to burst your bubble, but I can't think of anything an 06 TCU would have over your 05' TCU.

Maybe bluetooth & assist on the same module? That would be it...

I mean removing it permantly...dont need anything from any year. Using a completely different system for my bluetooth and other plug and play features.

There's no issues with removing it other than it will no longer function (which I assume you already know ;) )

Thanks, just wanted to make sure there wouldnt be some crazy idiot light on my dash or ecm giving me some odd code.
