Problem with CHA-S634 install
 

I just purchased this Alpine unit for my 2002 non DSP X5 w/ nav. I also have the Blitz thing and an adaptor cord. We tried it last night and no go. We switched the switch and tried both ways and the CD changer shuffles the CD's but does not play.

We did buy a changer that came out of an M3 and that worked for about a month and then nothing. Won't even recognize that there are cd's in it. Says "No disc" and will not shuffle. So we figured that the unit was crap.

At best, I can put in the old changer unit that came out of my 528i and get sound out of one side. I know this new changer (the Alpine) must work and we are doing something wrong but darned if I know what.

Please, someone give me the answers!!!
