Adding Subwoofers and Amp

Hey there, i currently have two 10" Diamond Audio Subwoofers and an Alpine Amplifier that i would like to get installed in my 2006 BMW X5. Im keeping the stock Head Unit and im not touching the stock speakers on the doors and around the rest of the vehicle. So basically im only going to have power running from the amp to the stock HU and then back to the subwoofers. The X5 is on a lease and the last thing i want to do is screw up the electrical system due to my subs and amp. So has anyone out there installed any subs and amps in there x5? if so, did anything affect the electrical system? and also if you kept your stock Head unit, did you need any special piece of equipment to get you system to play properly?

:xoutpost: Use 'Advanced Search" to search this stereo forum. You will find lots of info on various ways to hook up a sub and amp to the OEM system.

2002 nav system but no amp!!

Hi

I am new to the site but have read everything about adding a sub and amp to my x5, but having removed the DVD and CD changer I find I have no amp!!??
Can anyone tell me how to find the speaker wires I need to find to get the high level signal.

The sereo and Nav are all working fine and sound OK but like everyone else just needs some extra Punch in the low end
