jlevis LED bulbs

I have a 2001 x5 4.4. Myproblem is these new led bulbs. I switched out my rear directional bulbs for LED's. replacing bulb 1157 with the led 1156 bulb. I cannot get the bulbs to work when their installed. Any body know of these bulbs and how to cooredt this problem. I hope I don't get a ticket for changing lanes w/o directionals.

did u try reversing how they are installed in the socket?
