Radio Control Problem - 96' 328i
 

my girlfriend has a 1996 3 series 328i....recently she's been having radio/electrical problems. what happens is when she starts the car/radio it asks her to input the anti-theft code, after it's inputed the radio/cd works fine for about 20-30 minutes then the system completely shuts off and does not start up again until after 2-3 days.

was just curious if anyone knows what the problem might be, she took it to a local bmw service shop and they didn't even bother to check..all they said was that she needed to replace the entire radio control which would cost a lot
