DICE product idea...

So I have been trying to get my DICE to work in my 4.8 and wound up having to return the module which meant unplugging it and plugging the CD changer back in. In order to plug the changer back in, I have to pull it out and then screw it back in. Now that I have the replacement DICE, I have to unscrew the changer and screw it back in on I have the cables unplugged.

Not that it is any challenge to do, but it is sort of a PITA...

suggestion...

Why not sell a short cable that would act as a patch cable to the back of the changer. That way, you could leave them in place and only remove the changer the first time you install DICE. It might be a cool option to allow easy swapping between DICE and CDC.

Just my .02...could not cost very much for 2 male connectors and 2 females and a foot of each cable. Then you could always have immediate access to the connections.

Thanks for the input. We're seeing more and more people removing the CD Changer completely or order the vehicle without a CD Changer - I don't think a new cable is really needed since it would add additional cost to the kit.

The idea of the DICE is to replace the CD Changer completely. Most people place the changers in the closet or on eBay shortly after getting the DICE.

fair enough...

I might make a cable. Any chance you have any connectors (3 pin/6 pin) and some cable laying around?

We do not - you should be able to purchase cables with the connectors at your local dealer.

that's a great idea, then if you had only 1 ipod and you wanted it at home you can still listen to a cd in the mota!
