Help me to understand
I want to add a amp to my X5 front tweets, door and dash speakers how many channels must the amp have? At the same time can I use the factory amp for the rears, which are played a very low volume (faded).
Thanks for your help I am ne to multi-channel arrangements. |
Do you have the standard system or the DSP system?

To be more precise no DSP |
Are you talking about a new amp on the OEM speakers?
You can get away with just L and R, IF you construct passive crossover networks with parts for each speaker. If not, you would need 6 channels, with active crossover filters. What are you trying to do? An amp-and-speaker upgrade works better... |
Hello
I recently purchased the Rainbow upgrade from BSW w/midranges the rears are unchanged. I would like to add n amp to the front set and I will have an amp to power the the sub. I am also wondering what will fit the back doors non-tweets other that what BSW sells?

Since you have the non-DSP system, it is easy to pick-up low level, front channel, pre-amp outputs from the radio. You can find the pins on this diagram, depending on which radio that you have. Alternatively, you can get the same signals from the amp located in the trunk, but I do not have a handy post to show you which wires they are.
