You shouldn't have to bend / move anything at all. It is a VERY tight fit (on purpose) and takes a fair amount of wiggling to get it in. This is the first time we've heard of any fit issues besides it taking a little bit of time to squeeze into place. It is possible that the build tolerances are the smallest bit off on your particular enclosure, requiring you to make that adjustment.

X5 subophiles

To avoid panic or confusion about the BSW sub install. The clearance problem I had only required a slight lift of the fuel flap device that is behid the felt liner in the RH trunk enclosure. This allowed the sub enclosure to slip past the device. Once in place the sub enclosure is miles from the device. I didnt have to move the device much. Just had to lift it upwards a tiny amount so the sub could slip past it.

Equipment installed incrementally is

BSW mids
BSW stage 1 MBquarts
BSW Sub and 200w amp
BSW supplied 4 channel amp 200w

I've had the mids and stage 1 in for some months. Latest upgrade is the sub and amps.

Hi Chris

I have got a 3.0d aussie x5 2004 with the speaker upgraded to 10 speaker system. I have been searching around looking for an upgrade myself for this system. I think the systems has reasonable in terms of high to mid frequency performance but is serisiously missing the low end power and thump. I am thinking about putting in a sub and amp combo to get the bass cranking a bit more.

Where did you get hold of the sub and amp in AUS for your latest upgrade? And how much did it cost u again?

I ordered the BSW stealth sub kit. The freight to Australia was a bit steep but worth it as BSW had done the R&D already. With free trade agreements with the US there isnt any import duty or GST added to it worked out cheaper than getting someone to makeup a setup locally.

If you are in Sydney happy for you to have a listen. Bring your favourite CD's

Chris.

Chris, where in Sydney are you. I've been looking at doing the upgrade myself. I would love to hear it.

Chris,

The sub amp bracket looks great. You wouldn't happen to have a template of it (with measurements) would you? I'm thinking about mounting my sub amp the same way. TIA.

Give me a day or two and I'll post a CAD (cardboard aided design) blueprint of the bracket.

Chris.
