Door Speaker Depth

Just a quick question: Does anyone know what the door speaker (just the 6.5) depth is in the E53 for the front's and rears?

Thanks,

Kryptonite

(Ps. I have searched the forum without much luck on depth... :nanana:)

Depth is not an issue, as long as you are mounting in the stock baffle. Diameter on the other hand...

Stock speaker is 160mm X 66mm (W x D) if I measured correctly.

Just to sidetrack the thread...

Are there any aftermarket drivers that fit the 6.25"/65mm enclosures, bigger than 5.25" units?

Kryptonite: Doesn't look like they will fit as the outer diameter is too large. Mounting depth isn't an issue.

Sablonty: Dynaudio System 220 MKII's are a bit small but a very good fit with an adapter ring. Not cheap, but they sound phenomenal in these cars, especially if you put the tweets on the dash. They are bigger than 5.25" but not quite a 6.5." They are listed as a 5.75" driver. Aftermarket amp is required for these.

Thanks Matt

I've got Dyno Contours in my home stereo, they're incredible, never heard vocals reproduced so well. But I don't think I can open pandora's box and go with an new amp. Or could I... [scratching chin and gazing into the beyond]

So, this 5mm difference won't allow me to put 6.5's in my doors?
