Jeff/Ucrew/Tom@Eas or anyone..need help
I just swapped my older radio module to a new one to fix the HD-Dice text problem on the Nav screen (screen text garbled for song/mp3 text). Everything works as I have sound from the AM/FM radio and also the cassette (text works great too for Dice). But....there is no sound from the CD changer once that is selected. I can move around the CDs or hook up HD-Dice can view and forward etc songs.
I believe there is a pin swap required on the old round pin wiring harness. bimmernav lists moving pin 2 to pin3 (white tan wire). I think the wire is different for 2001 X5. Can anyone help me pointing out what to do. This is for a 2001 X5 with DSP, CD changer and Nav Thanks. |
Sent you a reply PM. See this article for matching up the pins - http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/s...formation.html

Sounds like you went to analog DSP, you'll need a new analog audio cable.
We have them in stock, I'll reply to your email shortly. |
Tom you are the greatest. Would you provide a link? Is this i the part number 61.12-0 140 716? Also would it work with HD dice?

Audio Cable for analog DSP-equipped vehicles - open 3 pin http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=679 This will plug into your new receiver and provide your audio signal. This is compatible for the Standard and High-Definition DICE kits. |
Tom,
I already have this cable and with complete kit (and I thought it was for the Aux input). I have an empty connector with this kit. Need to know which wires correspond to which pin#s on the connector for the right fit. I am sure the connector then fits into the other silver connector part of the harness. thanks as always. |
