cable; TV to Navi

Hi .

Just bought a TV module and I'm now looking for the cable between the TV module and Navi unit. I saw the installation instruction posted here at the forum but there is no partnumber for this cable. Does anyone know the partnumber or have anybody made their own cable and in that case what are the partnumbers for the connectors and pins?

Almost forgot. I have a E39 Touring-03 european model with navi professional (MK4 & 16*9 screen)

I used cable part number 61.12-8 381 219 to connect the VM in my car. I think that it would be the same in yours.

I head to search my memory, but I believe there are three plugs. There is a black 10-pin plug (I think) that connects to your existing harness. Then there is a white 18-pin (I think female plug and a matching white 18-pin male plug.)

However, your question reminded me that you will probably need something else... You need an additional blue plug that may not exist in the car. I actually had the blue plug, and when I installed the navigation trunk lead (PN 61.12-6 907 840) for my MKIV upgrade, I got the 2nd blue plug. So, with my final hookup, I connected the blue plug from teh -840 into my nav computer, and the original blue plug from the car's harness into the TV module.

Then, I used the -219 cable do do what ever it does and connect the white plug to the TV module.

The ETK only shows one cable for e39s, whereas 2 for the e38 as Brian listed. The Touring cable was 61 12 6 915 134. The e38 cable was the 840 one. I can't find one corresponding to the 219 for the e39 car. Maybe it would work for both?
