Remote turn-on for amp

Is the violet/white wire still the correct wire to use for the turn-on signal of an aftermarket amp? It's going in an '05 X5 with NAV/DSP.Thanks.

It should be the lead coming off of pin 13 on the large black plug of the radio module. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=128
