X5 Audio Problem
Hi all, my 2002 X5 Sport with Wide Screen TV/Sat Nav has no sound coming from the speakers on the passenger side front or rear. I brought the vehicle to BMW and they said I need a new Radio Module at the cost of €800 :( I have come across a unit on ebay for much lesss which looks identical but has a different model number, mine is BM 54 AI 01 Part 65126933091 the unit advertised is BM54 AI 03 Part 65128385897. Does anybody know if the above would work in my Jeep? Thanks in advance for all replies.

Clubscene,
talk to BMW AG customer support, they might be able to do a "core exchange" for you - take the bad unit and give you a new remanufactured unit for a fraction of the cost. At least, it is worth checking into it. |
Hi Terminator,
Thanks for the post. Do you know where I can get a phone number for BMW support, I live in Ireland. Regards, Simon. |
Club,
I have some outdated info for BMW NA Leonora Vlaovich BMW North America (BMWNA) 201-573-7742 201-930-8362 fax leonora.vlaovich "at" bmwna.com and I need to get my old cell phone and pull the newer number for a guy at BMW NA, but I do not have anything at all for the BMW AG or BMW Ireland. However, if you get hold of someone at BMW NA, you should be able to get more info about BMW AG. Check out this un-related post - http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/52513 This is how I got my faulty equipment replaced... I'll get back with the newer phone number later on :) |
Ok, here is a number for Mark at BMW NA - 201.263.8234. He might not be able to help with the issue as he is in BMW NA but he might be able to give a number in Germany.
good luck :) |
Clubscene,
