This is the kit you would need, this will plug into your existing CD CD Changer connections in the cargo area in less than a few minutes with no permanent modifications.

DICE iPod Integration Kit for BMW
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=268

The DICE iPod Kit will integrate perfectly with your BMW and offer steering wheel control as well as ID3 text and charging of your iPod. Full CD Quality can be expected after installation. There's even an integrated AUX port for other devices.

The kit will come with everything needed w/ the docking cable. The iPod can be safely stored away in the glove compartment for 100% stealth installation and accessed completely from the steering wheel controls. The DICE comes with a 15-foot cable length to reach anywhere in the vehicle you like.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

The quality would sound exactly as if you were listening to the iPod through your earphones. The higher quality fo the music files, the better the sound.

Typically music ripped at 192kbps+ or purchased through iTunes will be close to CD Quality.

If you have Business CD, the in-dash CD is retained (NAV has cassette behind the screen). Only the changer needs to be removed if equipped.

i have nav so only the cassete remains working.

True, but you'll have your entire music library in exchange along with text display and steering wheel control - more options than any CD Changer can offer.

will this void any warranties and how simple is it for an average joe to install.

Tom G. 07-04-2007 08:32 PM

Yes, this is intended to be a total DIY - this will not void your warranty. :)
