BM54 radio unit firmware upgrade possible?
 

Hello,
on my X5 I have the new bmw cd changer which can read mp3 but the BM54 radio module is the pre-oct '05 (I bought the cd changer later) so I can listen to mp3 but no ID3 tags are shown on the 16:9 display.
Is the BM54 upgradable without buying (and replacing) an expensive new one ? My BM54 is the Jan '05 model.

Pretty sure it's not. You need to swap out the BM54 for a newer one. :(
