Dice with iPod Video

Here is an interesting problem. I have the Dice unit from EAS and had loads of support from Tom G but it has never been what I expected, particularly with text disappearing all the time. I have notice lately that I am getting a really bad hiss from the speakers. It comes on after about 2 minutes. Sound starts out perfect then I get the hiss. I have tried everything and I just notives what the problem is. When the iPod is connected and working, the backlight is on. When it switches off the hissing starts. I can replicate this everytime. Another example is when the hiss is present, I switch the keylock, backlight comes on and hiss goes. Anyone any idea? The text problem I have fixed by shutting down and removing fuses before every journey.:banghead:

That's odd behavior. Does this happen with other iPods?

Update

I have switched the backlight to stay on permanent and the hiss has now gone. I am going to try my daughters iPod (same model as mine, just terrible music!) and will let you know.

HaHa

I got a good laugh out of that!

Let us know what it does with her. It is possible that something internally on the iPod with the backlight is loose or not correct and emiting some type of frequency that the speakers/radio is picking up and causing this problem. Let us know!
