HELP* Strange on-board wiring harness (AUX problem)
Hi everyone
Iam trying to add AUX input in my 2001 e39 m5, I have done this before in my 2006 4.8 x5 and it was easy to do. But in this car i cannot find the AUX cable that come with the wires for on-board monitor , I have the original bmw part for the AUX to be connected in this area. In the X5 i find the AUX cable and i just connect it with my AUX part. So what do you think. Is there any other solution. I have tried to use the CD changer cable in the back but it doesn't work. |
where did you find AUX cable in the X5?

The 2006 X5 will have had support for an Aux input to it's radio, the 2001 E39 will not. I believe this feature became available arround 2003.
You can't just use the CD Changer connection, but you can get add on modules which will enable Aux in through the CD Changer connection (they emulate a dummy CD Changer). |
We have these on the site if needed:
eas Auxiliary Audio Input http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=630 Simply plug in your AUX source and you're set. |
