Front passenger speaker- no sound

Today, I checked and found out that the front passenger speaker in my X3 does not work anymore. No sound at all in any mode or setting. It was working fine a couple days ago, and then it just kind of died on me. Any idea on the cause or remedy?

Have you tried tracing the wires yet?

Simplistically, either a) you completely blew the speaker, b) you have a break in the wiring from the amp, or c) you blew a channel on your amp.

Check the impedance on the appropriate wires from the amplifier to the speaker. If it measure 0 or a really big number, you need a new speaker. Otherwise, it is the amp / wiring.

Check the signal (AC voltmeter between the leads while disconnected from the speaker) at the amplifier. Signal = wiring break. No signal = new amplifier.

Thanks! Where can I find these wires? My dad has the tools, but I don't know where or what to pry apart. (I'm not at all into dealing with sound systems)
