CD Changer
Members:
Can anyone help with this problem: A fellow member here bought my CD changer and installed it in his X5. He says he has CDs in the changer, the X recognizes it, but he is getting no music. He has DSP, and I have DSP. Anyone know what could be at fault? The changer worked perfectly when I had it....... Thanks. |
Without knowing how he hooked it up, that is next to impossible. I do know that sometime people hook up a cable that can be connected but should not be connected depending on the vehicle. So more info is needed.
For example these instructions say: 6. Locate audio and power cables in vehicle. Connect the three pin power & I-bus cable to changer. For vehicles without DSP HiFi connect the 6 pin audio cable to changer. For vehicles with DSP HiFi connect the single coax digital audio cable to the changei (for DSP the 6 pin audio cable need not be connected). I installed that coax cable because i thought i had DSP in my 05 but with the coax cable installed it would NOT work. So i did the reverse and the CD player works fine. Turns out i have DSP but on my 05 they stopped using this coax cable. http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/s...er-bmw-x5.html |
