serius activation?
 

2006 X5 4.4I, navigation. non DSP Premium Pkg.

I have a serius antenna on the roof at the back and it says "Serius"

Does the dealer have to activate the serius satelite? I hit the "mode" button on the nav console but I do not see "Serius". I see radio, CD etc.

I realize I have to subscribe, but I do not know how to activate.
Any info PLZ.

I think you're looking for "SIRIUS." Get the sirius ID # off the back of the receiver and call 1-888-get-sirius. Also, make sure your radio is set to "US-mode." To find out how to switch it to US-mode, go to the front homepage and look under "STEREO"

The delivery guy at the Performance Center did ours.

You need a Sirius module. If you had the Sirius module installed, you would get a SIRIUS option when you cycle through the inputs with the MODE button. It sounds like your car is pre-wired for Sirius, but not fully installed with Sirius.

Thanks everone.... I do not have the "Serius" in the nav screen so I suppose I have the antenna but not the module.
I purchased the vehicle used so maybe it was removed.. But I will scroll through the menu and be sure I an in USA mode.
