DICE interference
I have installed a DICE ipod kit and when I accelerate I get a high pitched whistle/wine. It increases in pitch as the revs get higher. I have tried removing the DICE from it's normal position but it hasn't made a difference. It sounds like my first stereo radio I installed 30 years before I put a suppressors on the spark plugs. Is the unit defector or do I need some kind of suppressor?
Thanks, Gary |
Sounds like a poor ground from your 3-pin power and data cable, I would recommend regrounding it. To do this you will need to take the brown wire on the 3 pin plug coming from the car and connect a new ground wire to the chassis ground the OEM amplifier uses. This should resolve the high pitched whine that your dice module is having.

I have the same issue and am curious by the last response. If we cut the 3 pin wire and reground the side coming from the car, what do we do with the wire coming from the Dice?
Or should we just cut the wire and reground the side coming from the dice to the amp ground spot? Thanks |
