aux/XM/stereo
 

I have the regular stereo (no DSP, no Nav, single CD in the dash, no CD changer). I have already installed the aux input for MP3 player; works great. I ordered the XM Direct component today, but now am worried a little. Right now I can toggle mode through radio/CD/aux. Will I get yet one more screen show up on my display for XM?

From what I have seen, the XM direct is connected to the cd changer connections via Blitzsafe. Would probably show up as CD. :dunno:

Have you given thought to sirius?

Yes, it is the Blitzsafe device, that connects to the CD changer connection in the rear.

I thought about Sirius, but just decided to give XM a try. Seems essentially a flip of the coin, really.

XM Direct
 

I installed the XM Direct module using a Blitzsafe adapter. The display will cycle thru and show SIRIUS initially and then switch to show XM on its own. Once on XM, it will show the XM channel number. Using the INF key, it will cycle thru artist name and song title, but only shows the first 8 characters before it cycles back to channel number.

Thanks, again, to the generous members of this site! I spent about an hour this afternoon installing my new XM Direct system. That included hiding the antenna inside the rear spoiler and everything! I followed the explicit directions various members had posted previously, with only a few little variations of my own.

I am looking forward to really trying it out in a little while.
