Show your subwoofer enclosure

I have searched and searched and seen some really nice enclosures for subs but not a central location that has them all. I am currently looking to throw in one sub (maybe 2) and wondered if anyone would like to show me theirs for ideas? Either using one JL 10 if I put in the compartment or 2 JL 12's.

Thanks

:D

I would show you mine but I smashed it to pieces and ran it over 3 times. Freakin thing is so complex to build, I'm buying the JL.

Please, please everyone with a after market sub, show your pics. It is very helfull.
The BSW kit/JBL stealth for non US customers would be good but price + delivery +17.5% duty makes it a steep purchace, especially and that does not even include installation costs.
I cant seem to find aftermarket units in Europe either to fit the sub compartment,

That is one difficult unit to build !. I am trying to build somthing similar to yours & the BSW kit. Similar joins to yours but angular like BSW.
So far my cuttings aint so straight :(. Did you use an electric jigsaw/circular saw ?
Would standard evostic wood glue be adequate to glue the wood before screwing together?

I'm taking another crack at mine using wood glue & thick staples, but mine is only 1/2" MDF.

OK I finished my box. Still need to paint and carpet it however. Honestly, if you can afford the JL or BSW box then go for it. Even I wouldn't be able to make this box for less than $500. It took me about a week to get perfect.

I stole the back from zerochief http://209.85.48.12/html/emoticons/wub.gif, I just thought that bit was brilliant. All of my seems came out good but I calked them to assure there were absolutely no leaks. I'll post a couple more pics once I have it installed.

Great Job..... many members have asked Zerochief about the dimensions of his box.... but I guess he doesn't want to share that info with fellow members..... would you be so kind to share with fellow members on your box....???? Thank you....

Well honestly guys, I was just like you in thinking the dimensions would be my silver bullet in getting the job done. If I had found the dimensions somewhere I would have ended up changing them. Measuring the compartment in your X5 is the easiest part of this project. I honestly have no confidence my dimensions would work for another X5 or vice versa you just gotta go in there and measure around your wires and whatever else you have in that space. It takes about 5 minutes.
