Speed dependent Volume question

Does anyone know how this works? I have set my speed dependent volume at level 6 (presume the highest) and expected the sound get louder with the speed of the car. This doesn't happen - or am i missing something?

If you have a DSP system the setting does not work, it works only with basic/hifi-systems. DSP amp does speed dependent EQ and compression but it's not adjustable.

Thanks for your note. Pardon my ignorance, but what is DSP and how do I know if I have one? (2002, 3.0l, Sport)

If you have a navigation system, the main menu has DSP text. Or if you have a regular CD/radio with MID-controller then the right side of the audio button has DSP text. If answer to both is no, then you have just the regular hifi-setup and GAL setting should work
