The MSRP on that screen is $1500. That means they're quoting $500 for install (minus any electronics interfaces).

I suspect that we have the technical ability to do that install. However, it's not something that I think really ought to be done. Not telling you not to do it, but we really focus on doing upgrades that fit cosmetically from a design perspective - so it's really not our bag.

Not to be a nag..but any update on offering a sub box?

Not yet. We are looking at a lower-cost and easier-to-make 8" box with 0.3 cf internal, that wouldn't need the bottom panhandle portion. That would allow a small amp to be tucked in that lower portion.

But no word yet on the full-size box.

That's an interesting idea... I believe JL has an 8" sub that will work in that size box. Should produce so nice tight bass if drive properly. Does seem a bit of a shame to not use any of the lower area. I have plenty of room on the drivers side for an amp... and since the factory amp is there I was thinking that is an idea location. Do some of the other models have that space filled? It makes sense for you to come up with a design that has the broadest appeal. From your reputation here I'm sure you'll come up with something good.. keep me in the loop.
