I've seen these available before. My guess is that it's the OEM version of the DHA-S690, much like the CD Changer is basically a CHA-S614 or CHA-S634 for the MP3 version. No idea how well integrated it is.

The Intravee support for the DHA-S690 is improving but it's still not there. I have to mess about on power up at the moment, but once it's going it's OK.

That's an Alpine DHA-S690 plus a video interface. It will work, but you'll only be able to control the DVD changer via it's IR remote and use the monitor to see what's playing etc.

The Intravee now works with the DHA-S690. This is what It can/can't do:

- Gives full display, control and search of Audio CD's and MP3 CD/DVD's just like the CHA-S634, just with upto 8.5Gb discs instead of 800Mb.
- Allows opperation through an AI-Net switch.
- Allows playback of DVD's and Video CD's with video through the AV input on the TV.
- Allows basic control of DVD's (Play/Pause, Next, Prev).
- Switches the audio so it's possible to get Stereo audio while using the TV AV input (usually mono).
- Requires the IR remote for full DVD Navigation.

This is actually better control and display capabilities than the top of the range Alpine double DIN head units. They can't search MP3 discs by file or folder, they can't control DVD playback at all and can't connect to the DHA-S690 via a switch.

i agree, but compare the installation... 20 min the changer to...complex vert complex to a beginner like me :dunno: unless the intravee is plug and play also:yikes:

Assuming you have the CD Changer wires and the TV module AV input connection (which is a plug and play install itself), then it's plug and play plus two power connections for the DHA-S690, one switched one permenant.
