install Help needed inside please
 

1. Is the plastic piece that holds the MID unit and the CD player removable or able to replace? If I change my OEM set up, I want the option to return it to stock. As of Right now, I want to Re locate the OEM CD player under the seat, and MID unit into the govebox to retain the factory sound. I want to put a Car PC in the DIN area, but dont want to cut anything that will make it impossible to return to stock

wow, anyone out there? I was searcing the e39 forum, and someone talked of removing the "frame" for his install. Is this similar to the e53? Is there a "frame" that need to be removed?
