Newbie Installation
I have an 04 without nav and dsp. Someone mentioned doing a tap on the oem amp.
Can an OEM amp push a 15" sub? I have a spare alpine amp that I can use. I do not know if I need anything else to connect my alpine amp to the oem amp and where can I get the power for my alpine amp without running a long wire to the battery directly??? |

There are a few threads about adding a sub, try doing a search or looking in the stereo forum. Lots of info and better details than what I have here. Good Luck! |
I pretty much got it nailed?!
How to summary: 1. Use the blue/brown and blue/white wire to go to the amp. 2. Use the white wire for amp remote. 3. Buy an 8 gauge wire with fuse to connect the amp to the battery. I want a clean install, I do not want to strip and tap the wires. Im afraid it might void my warranty. Is there a connector that I can buy for the wires (like the one used for computers that you can stack them http://www.mysuperpc.com/build/volca..._connector.jpg)? |
what's wrong w/ Scotchlok's? :dunno:
will this not work? http://shop.torresen.com/shipsstore/...umbs/06126.jpg |
Wouldnt that leave a mark/hole in the wire?

Nothing that noticable.
