AudioControl LC6 work with DSP system?

I'm currently having a local shop do some upgrade to my 05 4.8, they are using AudioControl LC6 to pass on the signal to my amps. Does anyone know if that will cause any problem. The car isn't finish yet, don't know if anyone is familar with the LC6. I'm using one sinfoni 45.2x for the front doors and one 45.2x for the rear doors. And a Audiosystem f2 500 for my sub. They recommended to take the mid. Just use a 2ch in the front and 2ch in the rear door. I'm using AD 600 and 600NEO for the front and AD SW1200 x2 for my sub. If it works.. i guess ppl with dsp issue maybe can use a simliar setup.

The LC6 will work, but it's not really needed, read this....

:wow: holy crap, that's a lot of info.! i only wish i understood it all.

It is a lot of info and I just did a quick read, but if I understand correctly....once you unplug everything and only plug the tuner back in, you get rid of the DSP and you have a better signal to work with. At that point, you can use a hacked set of RCA's directly connected to the wires coming from the DSP amp, into a GLI and then to your aftermarket amp. It eliminates a lot of wiring, tuning, and extra pieces.
I wish I only had the time this weekend.

What shop? Have them call me...

One problem, I'm in Asia and these guys doesn't speak a word of english....

Well, that sucks. I assume you speak their language?

Find out if they know how to work with the balanced preamp HU output in a non-DSP BMW. (Or, since you probably won't get admissions of ignorance, try for "have you done this before? How?)

Then do the unplug tuner, unplug DSP amp, plug in tuner, check for DSP still in menu thing.

If DSP is now gone from the menu, they can interface to the HU output wires as described. If they don't know those wires, they have to find them. If they don't know how to find them, get outta there.

But good luck!

That's a really nice set of amps you're running. I'd say skip the rear speakers and bi-amp that frontstage :)

Post some pics when the install is done ! Love to see a set of Sinfonis in a X.....

SO what's the update? Any news? What'd you decide?

Hey Kenneth -

It's been awhile since we last chatted. I am still on the 2904 / Rev/Seas route. So far, the only piece to the puzzle I have decided on is the H701 processor + triplet dual genny monos. One of them is reallly nice - dual monos in a single genny chassis (it's not something common u see here stateside) vs. the UK.

Drivers - the same guy that sold me his gennys, he may have some Absolute D1 and W18 drivers which is a ++++ for me. I'm not so sure on the tweeter but the 18W is definately a better match than the DIY driver . It's coated, and the Qts rating on it's better.

So....send me some feedback on the getting a clean pre-amp signal. Stock amp does not exist, it's non DSP. The H701 processor looks like it may take the feeds straight from the HU. I may throw a SLBR4 and TP4 into the equation but I would prefer keeping things as minimal in the chain as possible.
The H701 is rated at 4V output - just gotta see if it' a true 4V out.
