Feeler - BMW HU interface
 

OK, I'm checking to see how many people would be interested in a clean clear noise-free BMW to aftermarket amp Head Unit interface.

No CleanSweep type EQing would be required, and the whole thing would be in a metal housing for maximum noise rejection. Steering Wheel controls would be retained, and the sound quality would be audiophile-grade. Complete BMW instructions would be included.

But it would probably cost $200 for a two-channel unit, and you would need two if you retained fade.

Would this be of interest (assuming that it works as advertised)?

Just so I'm clear... I would use these to connect directly to amps driving fronts & sub(s), and if I added two, the rears? This will "pre-tuned" to work within the x5?

With the latest news of being able to unhook the DSP amp and "trick" the system into thinking it's not there... doesn't this provide very flat outputs? Why would this be required?

You know, doing fiberglass work is really tough without the big compressor, air saws, air grinders, staplers, etc (and then you need fan-powered air filters to clean the air, etc.)

Would it be a similar cost to put the X5 on a transport and ship it up here? I have a friend on the East Coast who owns a high end shop, and does this up and down the Atlantic Coast.

If you wanted to add an amp to the OEM HU (nav or non nav, DSP or non-DSP).

It's been said several times that it's hard to do and retain good sound, and without any noie added to the sound. I think I've hit on a hardware method of making it very easy to do without noise, in a small module.

ah, ok. is this similar to the product Soundgate makes (the line-output converter)? :dunno:
