What the heck? no radio, now no DSP
I didnt mess with anything. Checked the fuses they are good, is there a fuse on the radio unit? Thanks
Need more details...Describe the situation fully.
Stopped to put gas in the vehicle. A little while after driving off I noticed that I had no audio of any kind. No Sirius, no FM, no AM , CD changer. Nothing. Power button not doing anything. So, I pull up the Menu then notice that the DSP is also missing from the menu. I only noticed this because the menu arrangement is changed. I checked the fuses indicated in the fuse blocks, and they all are good. Including the DSP fuse.

Your radio module totally died. There is a fuse on the radio itself. Did you check that one?
No, that was the only one I didnt check. I will check that one tomorrow.
Is there a fuse behind the dash/navigation display unit? All others are good
Usually when that happens when the DSP amp goes out... If you know anyone with an X5 with the same audio setup, swap the amp for a quick test.
Disconnect the battery, wait 15 minutes then reconnect it. What you described has happened to me twice in 2 years and disconnecting the battery solved the issue. The only difference is that I had the DSP in the menu, but it I could not turn it off or on.

Unfortunately I dont know anybody with the same audio setup. I will try disconnecting the battery first. Any ideas where the DSP amp is located?
Ahhh... the good ol' battery reset. Always a good place to start!
