fuse location for cigarette lighter?
Anybody on this forum know where the fuse for the front cigarette lighter is located?
|
You don't have the little white card at the fusebox to tell you whats what? If you don't then you can use the "online WDS" link at the top of the page to look it up.
BTW, the cig lighter fuse is in the glovebox fuse box location, and I believe a 20 amp... but I don't remember off hand which fuse#. |

The "online WDS" is for the E53 I believe. |
Yeah, I think so... The owners manual should at least tell you the fuse box locations for the other one as I don't remember if you get to it through the glovebox or from under it...

I just googled it and it someone said fuse location #111 in the rear, a 20 amp fuse. If it doesn't look blown maybe touch both sides with a test light to ensure it has power.

Exactly;
Fuses don't always have to "LOOK" blown to be bad. Once you have determined the location of the fuse remove it and replace it with a "GOOD" fuse. Quote:

Found it! Fuse 113 controls the plug in the center console. It is in the back with the rest of the fuses. Had to take it to the dealer and let them find it. They said there was a penny lodged in the socket that kept blowing the fuse! Nice of them to track it down on a Saturday morning without an appointment.
