Has anyone solved these 2 subwoofer issues?
 

1. Modifications to cargo door covering sub for clearer sound?

2. Modifications to fuel door which vibrates when volume is increased?

I would like to address both of these but was wondering if any of you have found any tricks or ideas that make this work. I would like the cargo door to stay OEM and not but on a speaker grill.

I lined the compartment with 1" thick foam material. In addition, the enclosure is fastened on the top and bottom similar to the OEM unit. It still vibrates a bit, but much better than without. I made no modification to the fuel door area itself.

Remove the 2 plastic attachments on the fuel door. Grab some RTV or gasket maker paste and apply it on the fuel door sections where the attachments clip onto. Also, apply some on the plastic pieces on the area that will make contact with the metal of the fuel door. Slide them back into place and once the paste dries, it will serve as a dampner in between the metal and plastic.
