E39 2-din bezel
Hi there,
I was just wondering if there is any difference between E53 and E39 2-din bezels? They look pretty same to me...and this one looks really nice, not like those flat bezels for ours E53... plz guys, nobody here has some e39 to compare?

What do you mean when you say this isn't a flat bezel? It just has an indentation running in the middle of it the top half of which would get covered by the non-nav trim panel. If you have nav, this bezel would look odd IMHO.

I want this bezel for aftermarket 2-din install...I dont have factory nav. This is flat bezel in my opinion: X5 Double-DIN Bezel. On the first link I posted that bezel has indent in the middle which I think will correspond with wood trim running on the dashboard..

Then yes, you are right the bezel with the indent will look better, but only if the wood trim flap will cover up the entire head unit. If it only covers half the head unit then you should just remove the cover and get the flat bezel, personally I think that would look closer to stock.

The E53 (X5) bezels are completely different to the E39 one.
First of all if you try to use the 5 series one in the X5 it will be too small and there will be gaps all around the opening aperture. The X5 bezel is rounded on the face of it and the 5 Series is flat so there will be a major looks issue there. Look at the finish on the proper X5 (E53) install here: Car stereos UK | Car amplifiers | Satellite navigation | Car audio You cannot say that a 5 series is the same as an X5. |
E39 :
