Have a look on here WDS BMW Wiring Diagram System - English

hey thanks believe it or not I have checked that site already. Nothing was listed for rear seat entertainment for and 06 x5 e53. There was some rear seat entertainment schematic listed for and x3. Unfortunately the pinouts of that schematic do not match up with what I have.
I m going have to do some testing and troubleshooting wire by wire.

were you able to study your system at all?

I found some stuff in in WDS by searching "RSE", but nothing useful for what I want to do -- I'm looking for a way to tap in to video out so I can add additional screens to the RSE DVD player.

masq I more or less understand the wiring but when you say add additional screens it will depend on what kind of screens.. are you going to be using the exact same oem ones or another model?

I want to see if it's possible to add additional headrest monitors to the factory RSE DVD player. I'm going to guess that a standard red/white AV output won't be found on the back of the player, so I'd have to tap in to some wire to get the video signal.

What do you think?

okay this is great!

any chance you'd have instructions on how to pull that DVD player out of the RSE console? :)

Pics? I think the E53 RSE is a fully independant Alpine DVA5205 and TME 750 based system no?
