Step by step pictures?

I did that on my LS400 (I'm vraa :)) and I was wondering, if there was anything similair to that for the X5. Even if it's half decent, I can add on to it. Or maybe if someone had the ETK instructions because my ETK isn't working. |

Tomorrow I'll see if I can get some Torx screw drivers.
I was able to unveal all the screws that the carstereohelp site showed. The only issue that I might run into is the side airbag. Also, I'll post much higher quaity photos when I do it. :) |
Ricky, it seems that you are posting info that I think has been posted before. Have you searched?
The 6" is glued to the spacer and you will have to score the join to get them seperated. It's a bit of work but doable. |
I tried to search, but I just found a lot of information on the subwoofer itself, and only the subwoofer. I checked all the articles related to the stereo system, and none of them showed step by step pictures.
I found out that the grill is indeed glued. The tabs are melted at the factory in order to keep them out. I don't need to take them out directly, now that I know how to remove the door panel. Now I am in search of Torx 10 screw driver to remove the screws. |

I got the fronts off easily. I can't get the rears off. I have the rear sun shade, and I can't seem to get the screw driver inside the top of the unit to pop it off to reveal the last screw. Man I'm afraid I'm going to break something! |

Yeah, I got the vertical sun shade off and unscrewed the screw that was holding the door panel, and yet I was not able to get the rear door panel off.
My fingers are all cut up and bleeding. My LS400 was so much easier :( :D Anyways, I got the stock DSP subwoofer sounding a lot deeper in my gazillion hours of work. |
