Last week I called BSW to answer some inquiries about the Stage 1 upgrade for my '03 X5. I wanted to sleep on it before spending $600 on this. I asked about getting the optional tool kit for $30 to facilitate the install and the representative told me that if I placed the order by phone, he would include the tool kit without charge. So, by Monday I had finally decided to go for it. I spent all day trying to call BSW and place the order. No answer, I left a message and had not heard back from anyone. So , by Wednesday I called again, this time I got the same representative that I had spoken to last week. Now when I place my order , he tells me that I can no longer get the free tool kit with the Stage 1. That the free offer is NO LONGER available. That basically the company has rescinded this offer. I also ordered the sound deadening option for better acoustics for $19.95. I know it's only $30 bucks but "come on" they tell me one thing and now they go back on their word. It just seems petty to me. Good businesses just don't operate that way. I still placed my order. S. Herrero

And the fact that you still placed your order is why they do it...you taught them nothing, and they win. You did it to yourself.

I wouldn't say that we 'won'. We simply are not in a place to give out a free tool kit right now. We actually started to run low on tool kits. More are en route but at the time of ordering we were at low stock and we aren't able to send out free tool kits.

When the customer first spoke to us we weren't in that situation and thus the offer was given. With the change in stock status giving out a free kit or a discount was/is just not possible right now.

With that said we are not out to 'get' anyone or take advantage of anyone. I actually spoke with Jeremy since he works for me and I just edited your order to reflect the original request. The order is not billed until it is at the door with a shipping label. Enjoy!

Thanks Halston, It just seemed so unfair at the time I placed my order. I didn't mean to make such a monumental issue of it. It was just the principal of the matter. I guess I was wrong about you guys. You show me now that you are a class act. I can't wait now to get my new Stage 1 speakers and hear my awesome new sound system. :thumbup:Thanks again Halston and Jeremy at BSW.

Now this is what i call customer service, it's hard to find good companies these days. Still happy with my BSW Stage 1 upgrade :)

Halston - I am in the Atlanta area and I'm looking to get a Ipod/Iphone Integration kit for my 03 X5. Can I pick this up at the store instead of waiting for shipping? Do you guys also install?

At this time we do not have a storefront location in Atlanta so we would have to ship that out to you. The install is very straightforward, however if it is not something you wanted to tackle yourself I would recommend Sound Sensations in Marietta :)
