Subwoofer amp install location

Where has everyone installed their subwoofer amps? I have NAV, DSP, and the pullout cargo cover.

I ordered a JL Stealthbox and I am pairing a JL 500/1 with it.

I've used the search, but couldn't find anything that was very helpful.

Thanks!

Just one amp? Driver side rear panel above the dsp amp, u need to get small amp say the size of a textbook...9"x11" or so. That's where mine is

YouTube the BSW Subwoofer Installation videos and you'll see pinouts for wiring, installation locations, etc. If you need help, I'll be in Edmonds, Bothell and Des Moines after Sunday and I can help you out. It's not that hard.

I have mine screwed into the underside of the rear load floor.

Probably wouldn't work witht he sliding floor though.

Maybe you could make a false floor under the sliding floor to accommodate it?

All that extra work when he can just mount it where most others have it and it works fine...dont make work for me of I go help him :)

The location above the factory amp is not big enough for many amplifiers, I doubt the 500/1 will fit there.

I didn't have factory nav or anything, so I have two wide open storage compartments. I've got an MTX JH300 that I got brand new from an eBay seller for $90 from a guy based out of Everett, so if Dabble isn't dead set on the JL amp, maybe the JH would be a better choice fitment wise. Dabble hasn't replied to his own thread, so we'll see what happens.

The MTX may be a better fit but is a lesser amp than the JL slash series, one of the best lines on the market.

The best space for these things is below the rear load floor. Plenty of space and allows for heat dispersion better than the smaller side area.

It would be pretty easy to make a rack out of a few pieces of square-tube aluminum, that is what I would recommend.

True, but I'm happy with mine. Either way, Dabble let his own thread die, so who knows what'll happen.

Sorry for not responding earlier. I wasn't able to fit the 500/1 where the BSW instructions recommended so I just mounted it on the outside of the rear comparment panel. I would have preferred to have it out of sight, but I can just keep the rear cover shut.

I'll try to get some pics in the next couple of days. I'm busy studying for the Bar... Ughhhhh.

Thanks for everyone's input.
