7 Attachment(s)
Hi friends:
Thanks to all of you. I received my X5 4.8is this week. I installed the headrest monitors, DVD. Here are my photos. What I have ? 1) DVD in stereo via Aux. The dealer installed the Aux input in the glovebox. 2) I have video in motion with DVD and also TV. 3) The Aux input can be switched to connect and IPOD, I will wait for IPODYourBMW 2, or the Icelink working for 5G 60Gb IPOD. 4) HeadRest Monitors. The monitors has AV1 for DVD and AV3 for TV. 5) The DVD Player was installed behind the CD Holders, in the front, just beside of the driver, very nice installation. 6) Same leather, same color, same size and shape, the head rest combine at all. 7) I can see TV in the front and my family the DVD in the back. The sound is amazing. I love it. Thank you very much to Drex, and Ucrew. Drex you have a friend on this side of the world. I live in Venezuela (Latin America) and the X5 is European Specifications not much difference. I only set to NTSC the TV Tuner instead of PAL to get Video in the front on channel AV. thanks again to all of you. |
Great job! Beautiful X5 and a really nice audio/video installation. Road trips will be awesome from now on. Enjoy

Congratulations!!!
Congratulations, your truck looks beautiful. If you don't mind answering a couple of questions:
1.) What year is your X5? 2.) Are those comfort seats or sport seats? 3.) Are those the original headrests or did they come with the monitors already installed? Thanks in advance for the answers. |
Very nicely done!
|
1. My X5 is 2006.
2. The seats are sport. 3. I have the original headrest in my house, these are the BMW Headrest monitors same shape, same color, same leather, it seems factory installed. Was installed by the dealer. Best Regards. |

I wonder how much the DVD player is. And if you can get the DVD player and use other headrests monitors instead.

I saw the kit at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach for $2735 for anyone who's interested.

Wow that is one sweet setup. I have the same dvd player and lcds but they mounted mine in the rear seat area. Might have to go redo my factory install now hmm. Those sports seats look way more comfortable then my 3.0 seats.
