iPod low volume input.
Hi ya. I'm getting a low db level from my iPod via the BMW/iPod connection. The difference when switching from CD to iPod is very obvious and you can't adjust the volume on the iPod after connection to the head unit. Is this normal performance from an iPod?. The iPod works well enough when the head unit volume is cranked up but occasionally pauses for no reason. Have set sound quality to best level on iPod when down loading but still has me stuffed. :dunno:

So Aussi-X5 which one do you have? The Aux input, or the iPod your BMW?

Thanks for your intrest guys. The fitting was performed by a car sound shop but I was told the iPod connects into the cd changer input (is that the aux input?). When connected the No. 6 is displayed and when pressed the iPod starts playing. The iPod interface module was purchased from my local BMW dealer.

It sounds to me like he has the BMW iPodYourBMW kit, which does use the CD changer connections. I am not aware of a way to change the gain on that particular unit (another advantage that the Dension unit has)
