My radio dies..

I´ve allways had this problem with my stereo. It´s a 16:9 navi with 6 CD changer. When I haven´t used my car for a day or so and take it for a ride, the sound on the stereo dies? The sound doesn´t come back untill I ;
1. turn of the power for several minutes or
2. shut down the engine som some time or
3. start to navigate and wait until the nice lady says something.

Isn´t this strange? Anyone else who´s got this problem?

Yes, it happened to me yesterday... I did the same thing turn engine Off/on and sound came back on. Also noticed that the DSP on sreen grayed out. All its fine this morning. Keep me posted. Thanks

Ive bought a new car now, but I thing I now a little bit more about this now. If you turn on navigation and waits until the lady speaks, the sound will return... Hmm..

I have lost the sound on mine completely just get a cracking noise tried the sat nav but still no sound :-(

Battery was flat this morning could it have been this that caused the problems ? Or was the radio poping all night ? When BMW assist came out could not find anything wrong with the car,But I had disconected the Ice link by then just incase. Soon as the car was jump started all work fine. Strange

SAME thing happend to me
no sound but radio turned on
radio popped all night aswell
left the car on charger for 3 hours min
works fine...
i thikn its time for a new batt for us!

hmm.. Could be the battery, but I installed a brand new battery in mine and still got the same problem. But it was worse on the cold winterdays. That could have made the battery a litte bit weaker..?
