Here is an Android test with the E46 - dynavin

I love that it looks exactly like my phone!! Long story short, but Samsung screwed over the Samsung Epic w/ the TV Out feature, but I was hoping to be able to emulate everything on my phones screen onto my AVIC. If someone if finally making a deck that actually runs on Android, can do WiFi for streaming music (tethered to my phone of course), being able to go onto the internet, HULU, Netflix, Pandora, etc etc I'd be in heaven!

I've seen one example where someone took that deck, split it into two pieces (screen and dvd player) and made it work in their 740iL. The DVD portion didn't work, but w/ the option of using SD cards (which sucks during playback. button response time, etc in the AVIC) or even being able to have a deck w/ Android, the lack of DVD would be the least of my concern.

Little searching on YouTube found me this - Dynavin Android - YouTube You can see that this is pulled directly from a phones OS since the GPS directions still have the walking option

I installed my Dynavin with the new D95 software update...not bad, but I think I need to relocate my GPS antenna...it takes forever to get a good satellite signal. I put the Gps antenna inside the dash over the glove box...gonna try to relocate it just behind the center vents and see what happens:) Anybody else have gps problems. Oh1..and how the heck do I change it from military time to 12hr time??

As I mentioned earlier, I once had an Avic installed. I had to cut my bracket to install it. Lucky for me this did not prevent me installing the Dynavin. The Dynavin has clips that attach to the sides of the OEM bracket.

Which AVIC unit you had? How do they compare? I am trying to decide between AVIC-Z130BT and Dynavin?
