Not to hijack the thread but I have a Icelink hissing noise question. You previously sent a great diagram of fixing the issue but in the diagram it show only 3 color wires...red, black and white I believe. Simple fix by relocating the black wire but here is the knocker. I check my Icelink harness and it has 4 wires so I left it alone. The hissing noise is there still is there a fix for this as well?

The 4-wire harness is an updated version. If you are experiencing noise, you may possibly need to relocate the trunk interface cable (may be picking up inteference) or install a Ground Loop Isolator if the source cannot be found.

Engine noise is usually contributed to a bad ground in the system.

Hello Tom,

I also have a euro spec X5, but if i buy the kit fom you then I can connect it to the cd changer and not the radio interface kit? right?

As i think it is a much easier intallation in the rear.

Thanks,

Ghani

Correct, the trunk interface kit would be the ticket.

There is no difference in the kits other than the physical connection. Audio quality is exactly the same.

I am will proberly goto the importer of the ice link in the uk would you like me to tell them about your product, because i am sure they are going to ask why I want the trunk kit?

The trunk interdface kit is only available in the US, overseas does not offer this kit for some odd reason. Since you already have the kit, we can offer the trunk cable only if you should need it.
